  Easter Season continues

Easter Week
or Holy Week starts with Palm Sunday when Jesus entered Jerusalem. During the week, we followed Christ's progress from that triumphal entry, through arraignment and trial, the last supper on Maundy Thursday, death on the cross on Good Friday to the empty tomb of Easter Day morning, when we celebrated Jesus' resurrection from the dead.

After the Easter Day celebrations, the Easter season continues for 7 weeks up to Pentecost on Whit Sunday May 11th the day when the Holy Spirit was sent down to be our permanent strengthener. Ten days before that we celebrate the last appearance of Jesus following his resurrection, namely when he was taken up into heaven. Ascension Day is on May 1st.

Take Part in the Big Issue - Making Time for the Things that Matter

Back in 1994 a research institute said ‘If the 20th century has been about money, making it and distributing it, evidence from values surveys, economics and psychology suggests the 21st century will be about time, and how to use it to achieve well being.’

Time is the most precious asset we have,
the one thing we all have equal amounts of,
the one thing we can never get back.

There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under heaven, but for all of us – in church and out – the issue is how to invest our most precious asset wisely

If there is a unifying theme to the Bible’s teaching, it is to do with investing in relationships not things, in people not possessions. Things don’t go on into eternity but people do.

Join us as we try to understand what it means to Make Time for the Things that Matter.
