	The Temporal Side of the Church
	We cannot serve both God and Mammon, but we cannot serve God without resources, and so we cannot do without money to support all the work of the individuals who make up the church. Nor can we manage without all sorts of voluntary help. At Harvest, please think what you can give by way of both time and money. Pledge forms have been sent out and more are at the back of the church - please return them soon.
	St Michael’s is dependent upon the donations of money by individuals, such as you and me, to help us run our church as we receive no funding from elsewhere. Running the church is costly, and we also have World Focus needs. We ahve to find around a quarter of a million pounds a year ! Can YOU help by making out a standing order, or increasing your standing order or by making a one off donation ? If you think you can, please contact me in confidence via the Church Office. FINANCE UPDATE: Figures up to the mid-year showed expenditure exceeded income by abouit £8k.
