St Michael’s Art Gallery “SMAG” is an opportunity for artists (amateur and semi professional) to display their work in the dramatic setting of St Michael’s, Blackheath Park, a historic Grade II* listed building constructed 1828-30, known historically and locally as the Needle of Kent representing the boundary between the old London area and the County of Kent.
Artists have the opportunity to display their work in a beautiful setting with the possibility of selling their work to the public. Potential buyers can view the works in a comfortable setting at a number of exhibitions a year with an opening viewing night and then the gallery being open at the weekend and one evening a week.
It is intended that sculptures should also be on display at exhibitions.
There will be a small administrative charge per work and the gallery will charge a commission on any paintings sold.
- The first exhibition took place between 2 and 11 February 2017
- The second exhibition took place 6 to 15 July 2017
- The third exhibition took place 8 to 16 September 2017
